Delete your account

Time2Pray · com.time2pray.app · updated 5 September 2026

You can delete your account yourself, from inside the app, in under a minute. It happens straight away and cannot be undone.

From inside the app

  1. Open Time2Pray and make sure you are signed in.
  2. Tap the menu — the three lines at the top left of the screen.
  3. Tap Settings.
  4. Scroll down to the Account section.
  5. Tap Delete account.
  6. Confirm twice. The second question is worded differently on purpose — it is the last chance to stop.

You will be signed out immediately and your account will be gone. The same option also appears on your profile screen.

If you no longer have the app

Email timetopraysalah@gmail.com with the subject Account Deletion Request.

Please send it from the email address on the account, so we can be sure it is yours. If you cannot, tell us another way to verify it and we will ask you for what we need.

We will confirm when it is done, normally within 7 days and always within 30.

What gets deleted

  • Your sign-in credentials and email address.
  • Your profile and display name.
  • Favourite masjids, and saved narrations and duʿā'.
  • Qur'ān bookmarks and reading position.
  • Prayer and fasting streaks, khatam plans, and anything else kept with your account.
  • Friends and any requests between you.
  • Your notification registration, so nothing further is sent to your devices.

What stays, and why

If you volunteered prayer or jamāʿah times for a masjid, those times remain published — a congregation depends on them, and removing them would take the timetable away from people who had nothing to do with your account. They stop being attributed to you: your name and account are unlinked from them.

Beyond that, only two things persist. Ordinary server and security logs, which are overwritten within 30 days, and anything we are required by law to retain.

Things worth knowing first

  • Deletion is immediate and permanent. There is no grace period and nothing to restore from.
  • Anything held only on your phone — your istikhāra journal, downloaded hadith, your settings — is not touched by this. Delete the app to remove those.
  • You can carry on using Time2Pray signed out. Prayer times, the Qibla, the Qur'ān and the rest all work without an account.
  • Signing up again later creates a fresh, empty account.
